Abstract

Rice is the staple food of the world . To Increase rice productivity many failures due to pests and diseases. One of the most important pest in rice cultivation is Schirpophaga incertulas (Walker), Nymphula depunctalis (Guen), Cnaphalocrosis medinalis (Guen), Spodoptera litura (L), crickets and grasshoppers. The Rice pest management techniques are still using synthetic insecticides. The study was using a randomized block design (RBD) with use of 4 treatments and 5 replications. This study aimed to examine the effect of entomopathogenic bioinsekticide to insect pest population, arthropod population diversity in lowland swamp rice, Pemulutan subdistrict, Ogan Ilir. The results of this study show that the effect of the bioinsecticide with pest population in visual observation showed no significant difference. Applications bionsekticide effect on the percentage of pests in the field. Application bioinsekticide uneffect on the relative abundance of arthropod predators. and the application of this bioinsekticide can increase the weight of rice per tile. The conclution is Bioinsektisida application does not affect the relative abundance and diversity of species of arthropod predators.
