Abstract
This research was aimed to evaluate the effect of salinity on seed germination and vigor of rice genotypse in order to obtain rice genotypes which was the most tolerant to salinity stress. This research was carried out in the laboratory of Seed Science and Technology, Agricultural Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya from December 2014 until January 2014. The experimental design used was Randomized Completely Block Design and arranged in factorial with two factors. The first factor was 10 rice genotypes, i.e Ciherang Sub-1, Blue Bonnet, CN540, FR 13 A, Gambiaka, IR49830-7-1-2-2, IR60608-B-2R-16-2-2-3, IR67520-B-14-1-3-2-2, IR73020-19-2-B-3-2B, WAB1159- 4-10-15-1-2 . The second factor was four concentrations of salinity (NaCl) that was 0 %, 0,4%, 0,8%, 1,2%, with three replication and over all there were 120 units experiments. The results showed that genotypes wich had tolerant to high salinity stress (1,2%) was Blue Bonnet, CN540, Gambiaka, IR60608-B-2R-16-2-2-3, IR67520-B-14-1-3-2-2.
