Abstract

Novel Obsesi Sang Narsis yang ditulis Mira W. memiliki kelebihan, karenanya menarik dikaji. Kelebihan novel ini terletak pada isi ceritanya yang menceritakan seorang suami yang narsis dan menjadikan istrinya sebagai objek dari obsesinya. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan konflik tokoh cerita ditinjau dari psikologi sastra. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengkaji novel adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan semata-mata hanya berdasarkan pada fakta atau fenomena yang secara empiris hidup pada penuturnya. Data penelitian adalah data yang berwujud kata, frase, ungkapan, dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra dengan mengkaji unsur-unsur instrinsik yang terdapat dalam novel berkaitan dengan tema, alur, penokohan, perwatakan, latar, sudut pandang, dan pesan, penekanan pada perilaku tokoh, serta mengkaji tokoh utama dan tokoh bawahan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa konflik yang terjadi di dalam novel Obsesi Sa>}g Narsis terdiri dari konflik eksternal dan internal. Konflik eksternal yang sering muncul adalah konflik antara Aditya dengan Perinia. Kedua tokoh ini merupakan tokoh utama yang juga paling banykan mengalami konflik internat. Adapun penyebab terjadinya konflik tersebut dipicu dari rasa cemburu, iri hati, dan pertentangan,., ide antara tokoh yang satu dengan tokoh yang lain. Kesalahpahaman antartokoh sering terjadi di dalam cerita, sehingga berdampak pada konflik batin pada tokoh Perinia dan Aditya. kata kunci: konflik tokoh cerita, novel obsesi sang narsis, psikologi sastra
