Abstract

In 2016, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman designed Saudi Vision 2030 as the direction of Saudi Arabia. In realizing Saudi Visiom 2030, Neom was built, which is Saudi Arabia's ambitious development project. This study aims to explain how idiosyncratic the Kingdom of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is in the Neom building policy which started with Saudi Vision 2030 and these ideas came from Muhammad Bin Salman. This research focuses on the idiosyncratic characteristics of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. This study was analyzed using the Idiosyncratic Theory to see the existing dimensions and indicators. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method which aims to explain Saudi Arabia's development policy in the development of Neom under the leadership of Muhammad Bin Salman in depth through the steps of data analysis using theories and concepts as explanations. The data used in this study were obtained through the Neom website, Saudi Vision 2030, literature studies, online documentation, and online data tracking. The results of the study show that the Neom development policy is motivated by the idiosyncratic factors of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, namely beliefs, motives, decision styles, interpersonal styles, as the basis for Neom development.
