Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) students' perceptions about learning of salt hydrolysis module based on problem based learning, (2) students' attitudes toward chemistry learning after applying learning module based on problem based learning (3) students’ achievements after applying salt hydrolysis module learning based on problem based learning. This type of research was descriptive quantitative research. The subjects of this study were all students of XI IPA class in SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara, 2017/2018 academic year, which consisted of 63 students. The data was collected through observation, questionnaires, achievement test and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it showed that: (1) The students’ perceptions about learning of salt hydrolysis module based on problem based learning as a whole obtained 83% questionnaire scores in which this perception belonged to very positive criteria which means students' perceptions of the learning of this module were excellent, (2) The students' attitudes toward the chemistry lesson after the learning of salt hydrolysis module based on problem based learning as a whole achieved the score of 84% in which this attitude belonged to very positive criteria which means student's attitude toward chemistry learning after the learning of this module is the students like to study chemistry, (3) The students’ achievements after learning according to problem based learning module was 89% that was categorized as passing the KKM criteria; nevertheless, the remaining 11% of the students did not complete the KKM criteria. Overall, the XI IPA students have been successful in learning.
