Abstract
SRP pump (sucker rod pump) is a nod pump which is one of the methods of artificial lifting (artificial lift) in an attempt to optimize the production of natural flow wells, where the production rate is not optimally matched with the ability to produce. It is as the result of the static pressure of the well (Ps) that has been decreased recently and is no longer able to push the fluid from the bottom of the well to rise to the surface optimally. The results of the technical studies of the performance of the C-640D-356-144 SRP series pump and the size of the supporting equipment components (tubing, plunger, rod string and prime mover) mounted on the AS-100 well, indicate that the pumps can operate properly. This means that the SRP pump C-640D-356-144 series and the size of the supporting equipment components are not necessary to be replaced. The problem is only at the optimal production rate target (Qopt) of 521.40 bfpd which is still not reached. The pump performance is only able to produce optimum production rate of 438.19 bfpd (84.04%).The results of the analysis for the optimization of production to achieve the optimum production rate target above can be achieved if it is redesigned with the parameter criterion that is: (a). SL = 100 in, (b). N = 7 spm, (c). PSD = 3,763.61 ft and (d). PIP = 512.3 psia. The optimum production rate that will be achieved is 516.82 bfpd with volumetric pumping efficiency (Ev) of 99.12%
