Abstract

PT Semen Baturaja Tbk is engaged in mining limestone, which is the main raw material for cement production. The limestone that has been mined is then reduced in size by a crusher and then transferred to storage by a belt conveyor before processing the product in the form of cement. Limestone Crusher Factory II is a hammer crusher type. In November 2023, Limestone Crusher Factory II targets production of 271,730 tons/month with planned working hours of 427.86 hours/month, but actual production is only 230,561.62 tons/month with effective working hours of 353.46 hours. This research aims to improve the performance of Limestone Crusher Factory II, identify the causes of not achieving production targets due to time constraints and overcome problems that occur. Standby time constraints result in waste of electrical energy. Statistical methods were used to improve the resistance time and split desktop 2.0 software was used to process rock fragmentation data. Then the processing results are used to determine the work efficiency of the Factory II Limestone Crusher by entering the F80 and P80 size values into the work index bond formula so that the work efficiency of the Factory II Limestone Crusher increases from 82.61% to 90.88% and total production increases to 253,653.4 tons.
