Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of floodgate operations on groundwater dynamics and analyze the influence of Sorong and Klep floodgate types on rice production. This research was conducted in November 2018 MT I in the village of Mulyasari, Banyuasin. This study uses an intensive level survey method with an area of 2 tertiary plots covering 32 ha. Observations and measurements are made directly to the field using a 1: 5000 scale map. The sample points consist of 12 points taken on each tertiary 6 samples. Soil samples taken from a depth of 30 cm from the surface layer of the soil. The variable observed in the field is the SEW-20 value showing that the land is short of water in tertiary 5, the dominant clay texture. The parameters analyzed in the laboratory are the chemical properties in the form of soil pH 3.51 - 4.90 which are classified as very acidic and acidic, Al-dd soils get a yield of 0.12 - 1.62 (Cmol / kg), Recommended sluice operation is that every day, the results of the study show that tertiary land 4 using Sorong springs has more water availability than tertiary 5 that uses Klep springs because the operation of the sluice varies which results in rice production in tertiary land 4 more than tertiary land 5. If the operation of the Klep floodgates is more intensive, the availability of water in tertiary 5 will meet the water needs of rice plants so that it affects rice production.
