Abstract

PT Bukit Asam, Tbk is a company engaged in coal mining. Increasing coal demand from consumers makes coal production continue to increase so that coal buildup occurs in the temporary stockpile. The problem with coal accumulation in the temporary stockpile is the occurrence of swabakar. Prevention of coal self-sufficiency does not only depend on stockpile management but can use chemical solutions. One example of this chemical solution is hydrosol. In this study hydrosol was used as an effort to prevent swabakar at 1A banko west temporary stockpile location. To see the effectiveness of using hydrosol in coal piles, primary data is needed such as temperature, 1m depth, and wind direction by comparing the piles given water. Data is processed and produced in graphical form using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program. And an linear equations are obtained and it is known that the pile given water will suffer from swabakar on day 42 while the piles given hydrosol have swabakar on day 162. It can be concluded that Hydrosol is effective as an effort to prevent swabakar because it can prevent and inhibit the increase in temperature to influence depth and effect of wind on the pile.
