Abstract
Earthquake retaining structures required to reduced the negative effect of earthquake. This Building with steel structure use steel Concentrically Braced Frame (CBF). This research used 5 models of steel buildings with the same size18 m x 18 m and the height 40 m. This buildings serves as an office building and was built on soft soil condition. Steel building used 2 types of bracing CBF, Xbraced and K-braced. The result of pushover analysis was perfomance level, pushover curve, plastic hinge distribution. The result of research found out that Xbraced is the most effective to increase rigidity and strength building. Model 4 can reduce displacement 40,045% in x direction and 56,079% in y direction. Model 4can reduce drift ratio 50,685% in x direction and 62,423% in y direction, model 4aslo has maximum drift ratio in 7th floor. Model 4 also has the biggest shear forceat performance point with that is 1193,943 ton in x direction and 1134,332 ton in direction. The result of analysis pushover is every model has performance level in immediate occupancy.
