Abstract
Prioritizing the problem is important to accelerate the reduction of stunting, especially in Muara Enim Regency, wich according to SSGI data in 2021 is the third highest stunting prevalence in South Sumatra at 29,7%. Geographic information systems can be an option for determining priority areas because the distribution of events can be visualized in the form of maps. This study aims to map the distribution of prevalence and risk factors for stunting in Muara Enim Regency in 2022 using a descriptive study. The samples in this study were stunted toddlers, infants aged 6 months with exclusive breastfeeding, pregnant women with a history of anemia, pregnant women with a history of chronic energy deficiency, and newborns who received early breastfeeding initiation in Muara Enim Regency in 2022 recorded in the Electronic Community-Based Nutrition Recording and Reporting (E-PPGBM). Data was processed into maps using the Quantum GIS application. The results of mapping the prevalence of stunting incidence and risk factors in 22 puskesmas working areas found 4 puskesmas with a prevalence of stunting >2.5%, 5 puskesmas with a prevalence of anemic pregnant women >4%, 14 puskesmas with a prevalence of chronically energy deficient pregnant women >7.3%, 1 puskesmas with a prevalence of exclusively breastfeeding toddlers <53%, and 3 puskesmas with a prevalence of early breastfeeding practices <79%. From all the results of mapping the incidence and risk factors for stunting in 22 health centers in Muara Enim Regency, Puskesmas Tanjung Agung and Puskesmas Sumaja Makmur are priority areas for handling the problem. After obtaining priority handling areas, it is hoped that local policy makers can quickly provide interventions in related areas so that the target achievement of incidence and risk factors can be achieved immediately.
