Abstract

ALSAFIAH DINI LESTARI. Effect Aerobisity and Wilting Time On The n Digestibility of NDF, ADF and Hemicellulose of King Grass (Pennisetum Purpupoides) Silage With In vitro Methods. (Supervised by ARMINA FARIANI). The research aimed was to determine the aerobisity and wilting time in the silage process to get the best NDF, ADF and Hemicellulose digestibility of king grass silage (Pennisetum purpupoides) in vitro. This research was conducted from December 2023 to February 2024 in the Experimental Cage of Animal Husbandry Study Programme, Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry and continued in the Animal Nutrition and Food Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Study Programme, Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The design used in this study was complete randomised design (CRD) 2x4 factorial pattern where factor A/aerobicity (A1 is not vacuumed and A2 is vacuumed) while factor B/wilting (B1: 0 hour wilting; B2: 2 hours; B3: 4 hours; B4: 6 hours). The results of this study showed that the 4-hour wilting time by vacuum was significantly different (P<0.05) on ADF digestibility of 64.78% and hemicellulose digestibility of 93.43%. This treatment also produced the best interaction on NDF 62,93% digestibility with the vacuum combination. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the 4-hour wilting time by vacuum can increase the digestibility value of NDF, ADF and Hemicellulose. However, the best interaction on NDF digestibility is found in the A2B3 treatment with a combination of vacuum. Keywords : ADF, In vitro, NDF, Hemicellulose, King Grass, SilageALSAFIAH DINI LESTARI. Pengaruh Aerobisitas dan Waktu Pelayuan Terhadap Kecernaan NDF, ADF dan Hemiselulosa Silase Rumput Raja (Pennisetum Purpupoides) Secara in vitro. (Dibimbing oleh ARMINA FARIANI). Penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan waktu pelayuan dengan divakum yang tepat pada proses silase untuk mendapatkan kecernaan NDF, ADF dan Hemiselulosa yang terbaik dari silase rumput raja (Pennisetum purporeophoides) secara in vitro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2023 sampai dengan Februari 2024 di Kandang Percobaan Program Studi Peternakan Jurusan Teknologi dan Industri Peternakan dan dilanjutkan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Program Studi Peternakan Jurusan Teknologi dan Industri Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 2x4 dimana faktor A/aerobisitas (A1 tidak divakum dan A2 di vakum) sedangkan faktor B/pelayuan (B1: Pelayuan 0 jam; B2: Pelayuan 2 jam; B3: Pelayuan 4 jam; B4: Pelayuan 6 jam). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa waktu pelayuan 4 jam dengan cara divakum berbeda nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kecernaan ADF 64,78% dan kecernaan hemiselulosa 93,43%. Adapun pada perlakuan ini juga menghasilkan interaksi terbaik pada kecernaan NDF sebesar 62,93% dengan kombinasi divakum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan waktu pelayuan 4 jam dengan cara divakum dapat meningkatkan nilai kecernaan NDF, ADF dan Hemiselulosa. Meskipun demikian interaksi terbaik pada kecernaan NDF terdapat pada perlakuan A2B3 dengan kombinasi divakum. Kata Kunci : ADF, Hemiselulosa, NDF, Rumput Raja, Silase
