Abstract
The average Indonesian has health problems in the body's outer defense system, namely the skin. Based on the Ministry of Health in 2018, cases of skin disorders in Indonesia amounted to 122,076 cases. Skin disease cases were included in the top 10 diseases in the Pemulutan Health Center working area in 2022. There were 79 patients who sought treatment at the Pemulutan health center in 2022. Based on previous research, one of the factors of skin disease complaints is personal hygiene, knowledge and environmental sanitation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence complaints of skin diseases in users of Ogan river water in Muara Dua Village. This study uses quantitative research with Cross Sectional research design. The population in this study was the community of ogan river water users in Muara Dua Village with a sample of 104 people and the sampling technique was purposive sampling technique. This analysis was performed with the chi-square test to test the data collected. Based on community perceptions, the quality of river water used by the community in Muara Dua Village is in the good category. Based on bivariate analysis, it was found that environmental sanitation variables with a p-value (0.002) were associated with complaints of skin diseases while personal hygiene with a p-value (0.713) and knowledge with a p-value (0.349) were not associated with complaints of skin diseases. It can be concluded that in the community of ogan river water users in muara dua village environmental sanitation is a factor that affects skin disease complaints. It is recommended that people do not wash clothes directly in the river, do not urinate / defecate directly in the river, do not throw garbage in the river and filter before using river water.
