Abstract

The aims of this research are to : 1) Analyze differences in palm oil production of farmers who work and do not work in oil palm plantations, 2) Analyze differences in income of oil palm farmers who work and do not work in plantation companies, 3) Identify the welfare of farmer households who work and do not work in palm oil plantation companies. The method used in this research is a survey method. The sampling method used in the research was an unbalanced stratified random method with a sample size of 30 farmers who worked on plantations and 30 farmers who did not work on plantations. The data obtained consists of primary data and secondary data. Data processing was using SPSS and skoring methode. The results of the research show that 1) The average productivity of oil palm owned by independent farmers who work on plantations has a significant difference in productivity from that of independent farmers who do not work on plantations, 2) Palm oil farming income of farmers who work on plantations has a significant difference from that of smallholders. who do not work on plantations, 3) The welfare level of non-plantation working farmers, based on welfare indicators, falls within the criteria of high walfare (93,34<100,66≤120,00). Similarly, the welfare level of farmers working in plantations also falls within the criteria of high welfare, with a score (93,34<102,77≤120,00).
