Abstract

The water system with the opened channels system which is now could not optimally control the water table of high on lands so to fit needed plants especially the second growing season. The water table fluctuating on the year. According to the water table value, we can determine pianting pattems the most appropriate applicable to farm land. Therefore, needs to be done the measurement of fluctuations the water table for pianting determination. This study aims to assess the water table fluctuations in the channel and on land, determine the corelation between water table fluctuations to the concentration of water content relation to rainfall, and could be pianting determination especially. This research was conducted in the tidal lowland Banyu Urip village P17-6S area District of Tanjung Lago Banyuasin South Sumatera in tertiary 4. Time of the research commenced than on December 2015 until July 2016. The methodology of this researce was conducted by observalion in the field. The result showed thal fluctuations the water table from December 2015 until April 2016 there are variations. On December 2015 is dry season which is the water table far from the surface of soil ground was -52,5 cm, while on January-April 2016 is the rainy season so water table higher was +13 cm on the ground. Rice could be planted between December because in this month was higher, the water table almost soil ground was -4,5 cm, and the concentration of water higher was 30,90%, so the conditions like this rice have can be planted.
