Abstract
This research aims to determine the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of class XI students in Civics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. The subjects in this research were class XI.5, totaling 30 students with a population of 303 from 8 classes XI. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling, which is a technique for determining samples by paying attention to certain considerations. The data collection techniques used are documentation and tests with test research instruments in the form of essay questions. The tool for analyzing data in this research is Microsoft Excel. The results of the research show that 6 questions were given with 6 indicators, namely, Interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation and self-regulation. The average achievement of critical thinking ability indicators in the sample class was 79.73, thus it can be concluded that in the sample class or Research classes have a significant influence on students' Critical Thinking Ability.
