Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of GRDP in the agricultural, mining and quarrying and industrial sectors on the environmental quality index on the island of Sumatra. The data used in this research comes from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency for the 2018-2022 time period. The analysis technique uses the panel data regression method with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) estimation as the best model. The results of this research show that the GRDP of the agricultural sector and the GRDP of the industrial sector have a positive and significant effect on IKLH on Sumatra Island, while the GRDP of the mining and quarrying sector has a negative and significant effect on IKLH. GRDP in the agricultural, mining and quarrying sectors and the industrial sector together have a significant and influential effect on IKLH on the island of Sumatra.
