Abstract

Latar Belakang: Gout arthritis atau yang sering disebut dengan asam urat merupakan suatu penyakit yang diakibatkan karena penimbunan kristal monosodium didalam tubuh. Gout arthritis juga merupakan penyakit muskuloskeletal yang diakibatkan oleh kelainan metabolik. Gout Arthritis dapat juga disebabkan oleh faktor lainnya seperti faktor kebiasaan hidup, faktor, faktor usia, obesitas, dan faktor banyaknya mengkonsumsi makanan mengandung tinggi purin, yang mengarah pada keluhan nyeri pada persendian. Salah satu terapi non-farmakologi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi nyeri pada anggota keluarga dengan masalah gout arthritis adalah terapi kompres air jahe hangat yang dapat mengurangi nyeri, peradangan dan asam urat yang menumpuk serta dapat melancarkan sirkulasi darah. Tujuan: Penulisan karya ilmiah ini adalah untuk memberikan asuhan keperawatan keluarga dengan menggunakan terapi kompres air jahe hangat untuk menurunkan nyeri pada penderitanya. Metode: Deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil: Pengkajian ketiga keluarga kelolaan didapatkan diagnosis keperawatan yaitu Nyeri Akut berhubungan dengan ketidakmampuan keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga dengan asam urat. Ketiga keluarga kelolaan ini telah mendapatkan asuhan keperawatan serta penatalaksanaannya yaitu dengan pemberian terapi kompres air jahe hangat untuk menurunkan nyeri asam urat. Pembahasan:Adapun pemberian terapi menggunakan kompres air jahe membuktikan bahwa terdapat perubahan penurunan intensitas nyeri sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan kompres air jahe hangat. Kesimpulan: Terapi kompres air jahe hangat ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu terapi non-farmakologis yang dapat dilakukan secara mandiri pada setiap keluarga yang mempunyai masalah nyeri asam urat. Background: Gout Arthritis is a disease caused by the accumulation of monosodium crystals in the body. Gout arthritis is also a musculoskeletal disease caused by metabolic disorders. Gout arthritis can also be caused by other factors such as living habits, age, obesity, and consuming lots of foods high in purine, causing complaints of pain in the joints. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to treat pain in family members of gouty arthritis sufferers is by using warm ginger water compress therapy which can reduce pain, inflammation and uric acid buildup and improve blood circulation. Purpose: Of writing this scientific work is to provide family nursing care using warm ginger water compress therapy to reduce pain in sufferers. Method: Used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Results: Of the assessment of the three managed families showed that the nursing diagnosis was acute pain related to the family's inability to care for family members suffering from gout. These three assisted families have received nursing care and management, namely by providing warm ginger water compress therapy to reduce gout pain. Discussion: Providing therapy using ginger water compresses has proven a change in reducing pain intensity before and after using warm ginger water compresses. Conclusion: This warm ginger water compress therapy can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy that can be done independently for every family that has gout pain problems.
