Abstract
This study aimed to find out English Education Study Program students' perceptions toward of Netflix as a digital English Foreign Language (EFL) learning aid to improve their Speaking skills. This study was conducted at the English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Sriwijaya University. There were 13 second-semester students of the English Education Study Program participating in the study. To answer the problem of this study, the researcher applied a qualitative method using a case study technique. The data of this study were obtained from documentation and 6 open-ended questions of the interview were used to know students’ perceptions. The results of this study indicated that most of the students had positive perceptions toward of Netflix as a digital English Foreign Language (EFL) learning aid to improve their Speaking skills. Students thought that Netflix were good opportunities for them to practice and improve their Speaking skills, especially in an informal way. Netflix helped students in many aspects such as speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, expression, fluency, and grammar. In conclusion, the Netflix application is useful for students to improve their Speaking skills. Keywords: Perception, Netflix, Speaking skills
