Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Employee Retention at PT Bukit Asam Tbk as one of the public organizations in the form of a State-Owned Enterprise. The research methodology used is quantitative research using survey method as a data aggregation method with instruments in the form of paper questionnaires for offline distribution and google form for online distribution. The survey was conducted on a population of 1,599 employees of PT Bukit Asam Tbk with a sample taken of 94 respondents determined based on the Taro Yamane sampling formula. The analysis was conducted using a simple linear regression model to determine the effect between variables as well as several other statistical tests such as the research instrument test, classical assumption test, and correlation test. The results of data analysis resulted in a simple linear regression equation Y = 11,078 + 1,850X, a t test value of 16,459 and a coefficient of determination of 0.746 so that it can be interpreted that the POS variable has a positive and significant effect on employee retention with a contribution of 74.6% and the other 25.4% is explained by other factors.
