Abstract
SUMMARY RENALDY. Effect of NPK Fertilizer (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Oil Palm Recovery after Dry Season in Dryland. (Supervised by M. UMAR HARUN). Oil palm cultivation is influenced by weather, which is a determining factor in achieving productivity. Changes in weather affect the amount and distribution of rainfall so that it affects the reduced availability of water which causes drought stress. This study aims to obtain the best dose of NPK fertilizer for 17-year-old oil palm plants in dry land in order to accelerate the recovery of oil palm after the dry season in dry land. This research was conducted in a community-owned plantation with coordinates -3.5916319, 104.8150682 in Mulyaguna Village, Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The research was conducted from November to February 2024. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six treatments and five blocks to obtain 30 sample plants. The treatment consisted of (P0 = as control, P1 = 1 kg NPK / principal, P2 = 1.5 kg NPK / principal, P3 = 2 kg NPK / principal, P4 = 2.5 kg NPK / principal, P5 = 3 kg NPK / principal). Data that has been obtained from the results of analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the application of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the recovery of oil palm (Number of Fronds, Frond Chlorosis, Number of Fresh Fruit Bunches, and Number of Male Flower Bunches) Furthermore, the treatment did not have a significant effect on (Frond fracture elevation, Number of Spear Leaves, and Number of Female Flower Bunches). The dry season has an impact on the decrease in the number of fronds, the high number of fronds fracture elevation, the number of fronds that experiencechlorosis, spear leaves, male flower bunches that are relatively high compared to female flower bunches, and a decrease in the number of fresh fruit bunches. The application of NPK fertilizer to post-drought oil palm plants can reduce the number of fronds, chlorotic fronds, spear leaves, and the number of male flower bunches. The best dose of NPK fertilizer for 17-year-old Oil Palm plants after dry season with a dose of 3 kg fertilizer/plant. Based on the results of the study, the application of NPK fertilizer doses below 2 kg for 17-year-old Oil Palm plants affected by the Dry Season has not been able to help accelerate the recovery of vegetative and generative organs.
