Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of communication, employee competency and service fairness on the quality of public services in managing/making e-KTPs at the Palembang City Population and Civil Registration Service. This type of research uses quantitative methods. The variables used are communication, employee competence and service fairness which are linked to the quality of public services. The population in this research is the people in Palembang City who are processing/making E-KTPs at the Palembang City Dukcapil Office which is infinite and the sample was determined at 100 people taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data used in this research is primary data with data collection techniques through questionnaires. Furthermore, the data analysis technique uses quantitative qualitative analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research show that Communication, Employee Competence and Service Fairness simultaneously and significantly influence the Quality of Public Services in the Management/Making of E-KTPs at the Palembang City Population and Civil Registration Service. In the partial test, the Communication variable has a positive and significant effect on the Quality of Public Services in Managing/Making E-KTPs at the Population and Civil Registration Service of Palembang City, while the Employee Competency and Service Fairness variables do not have a significant effect on the Quality of Public Services in Managing/Making E-KTPs.
