Abstract
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the world, with a total of 569,847 cases and 311,365 deaths in 2018. Cervical cancer ranks as the second-highest cause of death in women . This study aims to determine the prevalence , age distribution , and distribution of histopathology subtypes based on the World Health Organization 2014 classification , the location of metastasis, the relationship between histopathology subtype and age , and the association between metastasizing location and age in patients with cervical adenocarcinoma at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang between 2008 and 2018. The design study uses a descriptive observational research method and a cross-sectional design. The population includes all patients diagnosed with cervical adenocarcinoma at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang between 2008 and 2018, with a total of 103 samples. According to the research, the highest prevalence was in 2018, at 12,08 incidents per 1 million inhabitants . The majority of patients were aged 20 –59 years (87 .4% ), with the majority not metastatic to other organs (75 .2 % ), with the most common variant being endometrioid endocervical adenocarcinoma (44 .7%). The majority of samples in this study were in the age range of 20 -59 years (87 .4 % ) with the most prevalent endometrioid endocervical adenocarcinoma variants (38 .8 % ). The majority of samples of cervical adenocarcinoma were present in the age range of 20-59 years, and no metastases to other organs were found ( 84.8%). The prevalence of cervical adenocarcinoma in Palembang increases every year , reaching its highest level in 2018 . The majority of patients with cervical adenocarcinoma were aged 20 –59 , the most prevalent variant of endometrioid endocervical carcinoma , with no metastasis in the majority . The highest number of samples were found in the age range of 20- 59 with the most prevalent variants being endometrioid endocervical adenocarcinoma and at that age range, most of the samples did not metastasize to other organs.
