Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the talking stick model on students' confidence and activeness in learning Pancasila Education at SMPN 19 Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design research method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample technique used is purposive sampling, namely class VII.10 as the experimental class and VII.11 as the control class. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique used the independent samples test and the analysis results obtained a sig value of 0.000 due to signification. 0.000 < 0.05 then the decision taken by H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in this study is that Ha can be accepted as the truth that there is an influence of the application of the talking stick model on students' confidence and activeness of students in learning Pancasila Education at SMPN 19 Palembang.
