Abstract

Burai Ecotourism Village is a tourist destination that has great potential thanks to its main natural resource, the Kelekar River, as well as cultural heritage such as Burai Songket and Purun Crafts. This research uses a qualitative method with the research type of Summative Evaluation with the aim of analyzing the community empowerment efforts that have been carried out in the Bu Dewi program and the sustainability of the Community Empowerment program in the Tourism Village “Burai Ecotourism.” The Bu Dewi empowerment program has brought significant changes in the development of this village, improving village accessibility and facilities, as well as increasing local community participation in village management. However, after the end of the program, village management has been challenging as many of the facilities left behind by Bu Dewi have been neglected. Nonetheless, new initiatives such as the Subur Makmur Women Farmers Group which focuses on hydroponic farming and the Village Waste Bank Group demonstrate the community's passion to continue engaging in village development through Sustainable Social Entrepreneurship. Support from Bank Indonesia and Bank Sumsel Babel has provided innovative new empowerment programs, strengthening the sustainability of Burai Ecotourism village. Bu Dewi's program and support from various external parties have established the "Burai Ecotourism" Tourism Village as a sustainable tourism destination through a social entrepreneurship approach that focuses on creating social, environmental and economic value.
