Abstract

This research is entitled "Bali Culture-based Tourism Village in Darma Buana Village, Belitang II District, East OKU Regency". This research aims to understand the phenomenon of tourist villages that use a cultural basis as tourist destinations in Darma Buana Village by analyzing the background to the formation of tourist villages, cultural elements that become tourist attractions, and the role of the parties involved in the development process. The research method used is qualitative with a research strategy using a phenomenological approach. Data collection in this research was through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation and information from secondary data to support primary data. The results of this research show that the formation of a culture-based tourism village in Darma Buana Village, Belitang II District, East OKU Regency was motivated by the unique culture of the community and its environment, a form of cultural preservation effort, the issuance of decision letter number 556 from DISPORAPAR East OKU Regency regarding the formation of a Tourism Awareness Group and finally as an effort to advance the creative economy of village communities. Then, as a culture-based tourist village, Darma Buana Village has cultural elements that become tourist attractions, namely crafts, traditions, building architecture, as well as art and music. And in the planning and development process there are several parties, institutions and groups involved, namely the village community, village government, youth organizations or village youth, and the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of East OKU Regency.
