Abstract

Thi. research entitled "Indigenous Shifi in Balancing hall in Jeranglah Village, Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency in 1990-2017 (Contribution of Material in the Course on Cultural History). The problems raised in this study arc how the implementation process of Bimbang Balai Custom and what causes a shift in the Bimbang Balai Custom. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation process of Adat Bimbang Balai revealed and explained the factors that led to the Bimbang Balai Indigenous Ceremony. The population of this study, as the population of the village of Jeranglah totaling 1,540 while the sample of the study was the population of the Jerang village aged 40 years and over. In this study the author u es historical method, namely through heuristic stages, source criticism, interpretation, historiography, questionnaires, and interviews. The approach used is an anthropological approach and a social approach. From the results of this study is to explain the implementation process of Adat Bimbang Balai, the factors that cause shifts and forms of the Indigenous Birnbang Balai shift.
