Abstract

PT Timah Bangka Sea Unit (ULB) is the unit of PT Timah work units engaged in tin mining by the mining process using a cutter suction dredges and Dredger. The series of tin ore mining process using a cutter suction dredges can not be separated from the mining process uses a pump that sucks the material alluvial soil from the seabed then pumped toward the installation of washing. And expected in the mining process is not much going on tin ore losses. Therefore, the synchronization between the number of undersize product of the rotary filter washing installation capacity needs to be done. Number of primary jig actual capacity amounted to 170.1 m3 / h, while the number of undersize product rotary filter for primary jig amounted to 200.8 m3 / h, causing overload feed on primary jig. Therefore do study the influence of soil pump by adjusting the rate of transfer of land through the adjustment of engine RPM pump drive land against mining layer characteristics. Based on the results of research known that the engine RPM pump drive suitable land on Coarse Sand mining layer Lumpur (PKALU) amounted to 926.8 RPM, Coarse Sand layer Clay (PKALP) amounted to 956.4 RPM, a layer of clay (LP) 919 RPM, lining sand Rough Clay (PKALP) amounted to 979 RPM, a layer of clay Clay (LPLT) amounted to 889 RPM, a layer of clay (LP) 892 RPM, a layer of clay sand Coarse (LPPKA) - Kaksa at 1,300 RPM, and a layer of sand Coarse Gravel (PKAKRK) - Kaksa at 1,300 RPM. And the result of changes in soil pump RPM to 1300 RPM at kaksa layer to reduce the loss of tin ore visible from a reduced loss of 2,243 kg tin ore Sn.jam with a recovery rate of 98.75%.
