Abstract

Kangkong (Ipomoea Reptans Poir.) is one of the vegetable plants that is very loved by the Indonesian community because it tastes like a turquoise. The shift in people's lifestyle to more health has led to increased demand for organic agricultural products. Liquid organic fertilizer from fruit residue is one of the ways to cope with increased demand for agricultural products. One potential that can be seen from fruit residues as organic liquid fertilizers is because the fruit waste itself contains nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), vitamins, calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg) and so on. The study aims to find out the effect of giving various types of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) residues on the growth of kangkong crops. The research was conducted from October 2022 to December 2022, in the field of the agricultural faculties of the University of Sriwijaya, South Sumatra. The study used a group random scheme with 8 treatments and 4 repetitions consisting of (P0) NPK as a cont rol in the study, (P1) POC residues of bananas, ( P2) POC residue of pineapples, (P3) POC remains of papaya, ( P4) POC rests of fruit (bananas+pineapple), (P5) POC fruit residue (bananas+ papaya), (P6) POC Rests of fruits (pineapple+papaya) and (P7) POC leftovers (bananas+pineaplle+papayas). The results of the research observation were analyzed, using fingerprints and continued with the BNT 5% test. Based on the results of the study conducted, the treatment of various types of liquid organic fertilizer nutrients to the growth of kangkong is a real effect on all variables except for the number of branches and the number of 7 HST leaves. The best treatment is found in the P2 (POC leftovers) compared to all variebel treatments, but the results are not yet better compared to control (NPK) on all growth parameters and results of kangkong plants.
