Abstract

This research entitled Development of Rubber Production and Distribution in Talang Ipuh Village, Suak Tapeh District, Banyuasin Regency in 2012-2016 (Contribution of Material in Economic History Courses). The problem raised in this thesis is how the development of rubber production and distribution as well as its impact on economic and social life in the Village of Talang Ipuh, Suak Tapeh District, Banyuasin Regency in 2012-2016. The purpose of this study is the historical method. There are several steps in the historical method used in this study, namely heuristicts, source criticism, data interpretation, historiography, economic and sociological approaches. The results showed that in 2012 there was a change in the pattern of rubber printing and starting in 2014 the amount of rubber production continued to increase. In 2014 the distribution of rubber in this village experienced developments in the distribution channel, namely the formation of the Mantarmas Jaya Farmer Group. The existence of this farmer group seemed to replace the role of collectors in distributing farmers’ rubber products to factory hands which also had impact on the economic and social life of the community.
