Abstract

This research examines the concept of vertical housing with a behavioral architecture and green building approach in Palembang City to overcome the problem of population density on the banks of the Musi River. The methods used include functional, spatial, contextual, and building geometry analysis. The application of this approach in planning and design produces an efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly vertical residential concept, which has the potential to improve the quality of the environment and people's lives in the region. Producing 5 mass buildings, with different types of residential units with room arrangements that are adaptive to community behavior by emphasizing the application of green building in the design.
