Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Lubuklinggau City in 2018-2022 showed a fluctuating number of TB cases, but in 2021-2022 there was a significant increase of 181 per 100,000 population to 282 per 100,000 population. The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial distribution of TB cases in Lubuklinggau City in 2020-2023. This type of research uses descriptive analysis with an ecological study approach. The target population in this study is all TB cases recorded and reported by the Lubuklinggau City Health Office. The data used in this study were secondary data. Data were analyzed univariately and spatially using QGIS application. The results showed that the incidence of TB during the study period (2020-2023) increased every year. The host factor shows that TB cases are mostly found in male gender (57.8%) and adult age (89.9%). Meanwhile, environmental factors show a high cumulative incidence of TB followed by a population density that increases every year, very high average rainfall (234 mm), high air humidity (72-79%), air temperature that tends to be stable (29ºC) and in 2023 the percentage of healthy homes shows that almost all sub-districts are in the less category (<69%). The results of the TB health facility buffering analysis show that it has not been able to reach all sub-districts in Lubuklinggau City and there are only two health facilities (Siti Aisyah Hospital and Perumnas Health Center) for TB diagnosis through Molecular Rapid Test (TCM). This study concluded that population density, rainfall, humidity, and healthy homes are risk factors for increased TB incidence. Optimizing cooperation between health offices and related stakeholders as well as increasing the role of the community is needed to control the incidence of tuberculosis.
