Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan keaktifan belajar siswa antara menggunakan model kooperatif tipe the learning cell dengan the power of two dalam mata pelajaran PPKn di SMPN 19 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini 278 siswa dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 63 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan observasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan rumus t-test dua sampel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan keaktifan belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe the learning cell dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe the power of two. Dimana dibuktikan melalui hasil uji hipotesis bahwa sig = .000 < .05 sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Kemudian diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata pada kedua kelas memiliki nilai yang berbeda. Pada kelas the learning cell memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 72.44 sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada kelas the power of two adalah sebesar 66.84.
