Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the response of Dendrobium orchid (“Dendrobium Burana Jade x D. Burana Greeri’) on giving yolk of duck egg and foliar fertilizers. The research was done in shading house, Agriculture faculty of Sriwijaya University, Indralaya from July 2007 to December 2007 using Factorial Random Block Design, consisted of two faetors with three replication. The first faetor was yolk of duck egg, with fours level (without egg, 1 egg per V* liter water, 1 egg per 1 liter water, 1 egg per 1,5 liter water) and the second faetor was foliar fertilizers (Gandasil D), with fours level (without foliar fertilizers, Vi gr per liter, 1 gr per liter, 1 Vz gr per liter) each treatment consisted of three plants so the total was 144 plants. The result did not show any significant effect on the growth of Dendrobium Orchid. The treatment of foliar fertilizers 1 gr per liter and 1 V2 gr per liter in combination yolk of duck egg on vegetative growth of Dendrobium orchid.
