Abstract

This is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to analyze the values of students’ character namely curiosity, hard work, communicative, and thorough in solving problems about algebra operations. The subjects are seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 33 Palembang. The instruments used were RPP, LKPD, observation sheets, and interview guidelines which were analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the values of student characters that appear in learning in the algebra operations material are the values of curiosity, hard work, communicative, and thorough. From the four character values, the most dominant character values that appear in the algebra operations material are curiosity character values and character values that rarely appear are the values of thorough characters.
