Abstract
Clownfish (Amphiprion percula) is one of the most popular marine ornamental fish. The purpose of this study was to describe natural spawning, analysis of fecundity, percentage of fertilization rate and hatchability in clone fish. A pair of mains is maintained in an aquarium sized 60x40x45 cm. The clownfish which is used were 2 pairs in two aquarium. The feed given is a Love Larva brand pellet as satisfied as it is with a frequency of 2 times a day. The observed variables were spawning behavior, fecundity, fertilization power and degree of eggs hatching. The results showed that the pairs of fishes in this study belonged to the productive category because they had spawning frequency 3 times in one month. The spawning increase characteristics on the female parent physically is the increasing of the weight significanity, the enlarged abdomen and pale enameled. The spawning was done when male stimulate the female to unleashed the egg by twisting the body and chasing each other. When it comes to spawning, the posterior part of the female urogenital papilla appears. The process of spawning on the clownfish occurs externally, the female ejects the egg then followed by the male to be fertilized. The number of eggs per spawning ranged from 664 - 796 eggs with the gonad weight 1,92 - 2,30 gr. The percentage of FR value (Fertilization Rate) is found to be very good because it is very close to 100% with an average value 96.45% - 98.64% (close to 100%) and the hatchability percentage of HR (Hatching Rate) is very good with average value of 94.39% from the first spawning to the next spawning between 8-14 days.
