Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine the best flooding irrigation levels by using levels of 10 cm, 5 cm and 2 cm. The method used in this research was survey method by using direct observation in the field and results was analyzed and presented using tabulation and graphs. Water balance and water requirement of rice in swamp lowland was obtained by mathematical calculations and calculations in field. The observed parameters were water requirement of plants, water balance, plant height, number of tillers, number of panicle length, number of grains per panicle and weight of rice grains. The results showed that flooding irrigation levels gave different results on rice yield ( plant height, number of tillers per hill, panicle length, number of grains per panicle and weight of 1000 grains). The best level of water application was 5 cm with average rice crop height of 87.44 cm, average shoot length of 26.52 cm, 16.6 gram per 1000 grains.
