Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the influence Given Eichornia crassipes Solm. and Salvinia molesta L. Bokashi and Urea Fertilizer on the growth of Aloe vera L. plant. The research was conducted in plantation experimental field of Agricultural Faculty of Sriwijaya University in Indralaya, from May to October 2007. The method used in this research was Randomized Complete Block design with seven treatments and four replications, so there were 28 unit of treatments. The treatments were A (no add nitrogen), Ni (5,625 g Urea plant'1), N2 (11,25 g Urea plant'1), BEGi (173 g Eichornia crassipes Solm. bokashi plant'1), BEG2 (346 g Eichornia crassipes Solm. bokashi plant-1), BKi (200 g Salvinia molesta L. bokashi plant'1), and BK2 (400 g Salvinia molesta L. bokashi plant"1). All treatments were very significant on leaf length, leaf wide, thick of leaf, the increased of leaves numbers, and increased of plant weight, except NjXN2 and BKi><BK2 treatments. BEG2 was the best treatment in increasing the growth of plant, leaf length, leaf wide, thick of leaf, the increased of leaves numbers and plant weight compared another treatments.
