Abstract

The objectives of the research were to identify the parasitoid species of leafminer, Liriomyza sp. larvae and to determine its parasitism in lowland area. The research was conducted during March up to July 2003 in vegetables crops in Sukarame, Palembang, South Sumatra. The research was arranged in Survey Method. Leafminer-infested leaves from various vegetables and weeds collected once in two weeks in lowland in South Sumatra for determining the parasitoid species. Parameters observed were parasitoid species and parasitism parasitoids of Liriomyza sp. larvae. The surveys yielded four species of Hvmenopteran parasitoids associated with Liriomyza sp. The parasitoids found included Hemipiarsenus (Girault), Dig/yphu.y isaea (Walker), Oomyzus sp., Dacnusa sp. Rates complex parasitoid parasitism on long bean varied (1.41-62.50%). The most parasitoid found was D. isaea, and its parasitism was 62.50%. On chickpea, rates complex parasitoid parasitism varied (1.41-62.50%). The highest parasitism 62.50% by H. varicornis.
