Abstract

Occupational safety and health in the mining industry is an important thing to pay attention to as mining facility workshop operators are one of the workers who are quite vulnerable to risks and dangers in every work process. Two cases of equipment failure were found, namely the welder and screw air compressor in 2022. Based on case findings, it is necessary to control risks and dangers to minimize accidents through one of the K3 programs, namely Job Safety Analysis. The aim of this research is to determine the level of occupational safety and health risks that can occur to operators in PT Bukit Asam Tbk facility workshops. The research design used is qualitative with an approach method, namely risk management with the SNI ISO 3001: 2018 standard. The results of this research show that the highest risk in the facility workshop lies in the ongoing break-in activities with the potential for danger being categorized as large, namely ergonomic dangers, namely break-in activities tend to be in a bent position. over a relatively long period of time accompanied by the risk of occupational disease, namely low back pain. The conclusion is that there is a need for technical improvements to the operator's way of working and the obligation to better supervise the implementation of operator action SOPs accompanied by the role of Job Safety Analysis in in-depth identification of every detail of equipment operation.
