Abstract

This research was conducted at Agro Techno Park Center Bakung Village, Sub Distric North Indralaya, Distric Ogan Ilir from September 2007 to February 2008. The objective of this research were to evaluate genetic and phenotypic variability of genotypes Jatropha curcas Linn which were collected from different agroecosystems in Indonesia. The research was arranged in a Randomized Block Design, consisted of fifteen genotypes of Jatropha curcas Linn, with three replications. The results indicated that the evaluated genotypes of Jatropha have significant deference of the quantitative characters but the qualitative character of fifteen genotypes of Jatropha curcas which were tested in this research gave no significant difference. Number of flowers and yield per plot showed broad genetic and phenotypic variability and there are eight characters had significant correlation with yield per plot. Genotypes from Aceh Pidi and Palembang have the best yield comparing to the other genotypes.
