Abstract

Cervical cancer occupies the No. 8 as the cause of death, it is known that mortality due to cervical cancer by the year 2015 is 265,672 (3.2%) as well as the prevalence of 5 years the incidence of cervical cancer 1,547,161 (4.8%). Cervical cancer does not give symptoms in the beginning then it is case finding is very important. In the year 2008 has been proclaimed a national program early detection of cervical cancer with coverage a minimum of 10% the total population of women productive. The scope of the program in Puskesmas 5 Ilir in the year 2017 is 0.31% or 15 woman have done a test from 4,911 targets. This research aims to analize cervical cancer early detection program with Visual Inspection method of acetic acid (IVA). This research uses a qualitative method with descriptive design. Informants are chosen using a purposive sampling technique that is based on criteria that are considered in accordance with his role. The collection of data through in-depth interviews, observation, and examination of the document. The results of this study showed that the program in Puskesmas 5 Ilir in the year 2018 is still not optimal. The activity of promotion and education to the public through the media and socialization program is not yet running optimally. Advice against the Puskesmas 5 Ilir can increase the role in implementation of programs such as improving the socialization activities and outreach as well as cooperation with parties such as the influential religious figures and community leaders in that environment.
