Abstract
Natural potential today has been widely utilized for renewable electrical energy generation. One of the great natural potential in the region of Palembang City is Musi River. The up and down of wave can be used by accumulating river-generated waves to drive the generators. By using the latest technology called Float/Buoy Permanent linear Magnet is installed by utilizing waves/waves on the enclosed surface. So that the waves that are beating back and forth result in electric harmonization movement. In this planning, buoy be attached with an iron pipe that will then move the connecting rod be attached wit crankshaft to rotate the generator with the media gear. The measurement of the water wave of Musi River is carried out at the port of Patra Jaya Plaju obtained the result of a minimum wave high of 0.15 m and maximum 0.21 m, to obtain power generated wave, input power waves of 112,34 Watts, the Force of 200,6 Newton, and a generator output power of 36,3 Watts. PLTGS efficiency of 32.3% with a small record of losses neglected. So the electrical energy that can be raised by this PLTGS in one day with the requirement of manual control is 689,7 Wh. Energy can be produced greater in the rainy season due to higher waves and higher winds than the dry season. However, in the dry season, PLTGS can still be used because planning is adjusted with the dry season
