Abstract
The aims of this research were to study the efFect of waste kinds (liquid tofu and liquid latex), the percentage of waste (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%), interaction between waste kinds and percentage of waste and classified based on different light for maximum density and specific growth rate of Dunaliella salina. This research has been held from August 24* to September 8* 2009 at Fishery Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This research was arranged in a factorial group randomized design with two treatment factors and three groups. The first factor was waste kinds (tofu and latex liquid waste). The second factor was percentage (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%) and three groups classified based on the different lightness. The result of this research indicated that the waste kinds Iiquid tofu gave the average maximum density 1,07x107 cell.ml'1 and specific growth rate 25%. day'1 better than liquid latex. The percentage of waste gave unsignificant effect for density and specific growth rate of Dunaliella salina. The interaction of tofu liquid 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% gave maximum density 9,12 xlO6 - 1,29 xl07 celljnl1. For specific growth rate of 50% dan 100% liquid latex, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and without Iiquid waste 23,07 - 26%.dayl. The group of lightness 2 em with from side lamp and 23 em with from upper lamp gave maximum density 1,26 xl07 cell.ml'1 and specific growth 31,74 %.day-*.
