Abstract

This research aims to create a zoning map of extreme weather potential as optimally as possible. The parameters used in this research are land cover, topography and rainfall. The research method used is the weighted overlay method. After the overlay process, the results of the output map showing extreme weather potential indicate the existence of 3 hazard level classes, namely low, medium and high. Based on the results of extreme weather potential mapping, it can be seen that Bangka Regency has a level of extreme weather potential occurrence that is dominated by 2 hazard classes, namely, medium and high. Based on the results of data processing, areas with moderate potential are obtained with an area of 227854.90 Ha. While areas with high potential cover an area of 67858.71 Ha. The potential for extreme weather is most widely spread in the Bangka Regency area, which has a moderate level of extreme weather hazard.
