Abstract
The research was conducted at Entomology Laboratory of Piant Pest and Disease Departement Faculty of Agrieulture Sriwijaya University Indralaya started from September until December 2004. The objective of the research was to know thc influence of giving temulawak crude extract to Plutella xylostella L. larvae in many instars of laboratory. In conducting the research, Completely Randomized Design Factorial was used with two concentration treatments and control which served as the first factor, four treatments to four instars as the second factor, and also three restating. The results of the research showed that treatment with temulawak crude extract i at concentration 6,0 percent which applicated to the first instar P. xylostella L. larvae (AIBI) was more effective to increase the larvae mortality, to decrease feeding ability of larvae, the ability of pupae formatting and imago formattting. The highcst larvae mortality at temulawak crude extract treatment was 90 pcrcent. The highest decrease feeding ability of larvae at A1B3 treatment was 14,77 percent. Decreasing the highest pupae formation at AIBI treatment was 10 percent. Decreasing the highest imago formation at AIBI treatment was 6,67 percent. Symptom happened to larvae after it applicated to each treatment was the larva’s body turned into black.
