Abstract

Kabupaten Lahat merupakan salah satu wilayah yang rawan banjir. Kondisi banjir sering terjadi sebagai akibat sungai lematang yang meluap disaat curah hujan tinggi. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya banjir antara lain adalah curah hujan, kemiringan lereng, kerapatan sungai, elevasi jenis tanah, dan penggunaan lahan. Metode yang digunakan untuk analisis potensi banjir adalah metode Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) dan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Metode SAW digunakan untuk menghitung nilai kategori potensi banjir pada setiap kecamatan di Sub-DAS Lematang, Kabupaten Lahat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecamatan Sukamerindu, Pagar Gunung, Pulaupinang, Tanjung Tebat, Pajar Bulan, Kota Agung, Mulak Sebingkai, dan Mulak Ulu masuk dalam kategori potensi banjir tinggi dengan presentase 43%. Sementara itu kecamatan Lahat, Merapi Barat, Merapi Timur, Gumay Ulu, Merapi Selatan dan Lahat Selatan termasuk dalam kategori potensi banjir sedang dengan presentase 57%.
