Abstract

This research aims to determine the potential for extreme weather in the city of Pagar Alam using ArcGis software version 10.8. Mapping the potential for extreme weather disasters in the city of Pagar Alam uses 3 parameters, namely land cover, rainfall and topography/slope. These three parameters will be processed and produce each map, namely a land cover map, rainfall map and topographic map. Next, the three maps will be overlaid to produce a map of potential extreme weather disasters. The resulting map of the potential for extreme weather disasters shows that the area with the potential for extreme weather to occur is 50,410.71 Ha which is in the high class and 10,215.54 Ha in the medium class, so it can be said that the city of Pagar Alam is included in the category that has the potential to experience relatively large extreme weather events.
