Abstract
This research aims to determine the thickness of peat using the geoelectric method, and then validate it by drilling at the research site. This research used the 2 dimensional wenner-schlumberger method which was carried out in 3 passes. Each track has a length of 48 meters using 24 electrodes and a spacing of 2 meters between electrodes. The results of the geoelectric data show that on track 1 a peat thickness of 6 meters was obtained, on track 2 a peat thickness of 7.41 meters was obtained, and on track 3 a peat thickness of 6.5 meters was obtained. The drilling was carried out 3 meters deep, so the results along a depth of 3 meters obtained peat distribution. In general, the subsurface lithology in the research location consists of peat and clay.
