Abstract

South Sumatra is ranked 5th most in narcotics cases, the circulation of illegal goods is a threat to the country because it is considered to be detrimental and damaging to the nation's generation. Many perpetrators are syndicates of this narcotics trafficking act with the aim of their own benefit so that the perpetrators will do anything for their benefit. The research design that will be used in this research is qualitative research which is a type of research that explores and provides deeper insight into the problem. Qualitative research helps generate hypotheses and further investigate and understand quantitative data. There are dimensions in the Securitization of Money Laundering Crime (TPPU) by the National Narcotics Board of South Sumatra Province using the dimensions of Securitizing Actor, Speech Act, Referent Object, Existential Threat, Extraordinary Measures taken from the Securitization theory. The National Narcotics Agency of South Sumatra Province has thwarted many ML cases so as to save the state from losses caused by ML. Many efforts have been made by the National Narcotics Board of South Sumatra both from investigating, collaborating with other agencies in an effort to track ML and eradicate ML.
